Dear Ms.Patin,
We would like to ask you for your permission to take our action for exhibition. First we would like to tutor six students that struggle with reading in every 2nd grade class. We would like to do reading buddies with the six kids. We would do this because we read a statistic (1/3 of the six kids that we would like to tutor have dyslexia).
We would also like to contact HISD to talk to them about dyslexia.
Your students,
Samantha, Briggs, Harrison, Zane, Caitlyn, Jeremy
My turtle
I remember the that my dad came back from Hawaii (which unfortunately I was not invited to due to school).my sister and I were excited for two reasons :one it would be the first time I saw him for two weeks and two to get our presents.
Oh, and by the way, whenever my dad leaves town he always comes back with a present for my sister and I. When my dad left for Hawaii we were excited for our gifts.
When went to the airport I immediately saw my dad. My sister and I gave him a hug and a kiss.
When he pulled out my gift (the first one of course) it was a turtle with a wooden base. At first it did not look like much, but I soon realized that it was a wooden puzzle box.
Now it set on the top of my book shelf. Whenever I look at it I remember the day when my dad came back from Hawaii.
Have you ever done something that you regret?
It was a Monday morning. It was 7: 45.
“We are leaving in five minutes” say my father.
He is making lunches for us and my mother is finding socks for my sister.
” I am ready to go” I yell.
“Do you want a pb and j or a ham sandwich?” Asked dad
“Pb and j” I say
“Crust or no crust? “ Asked dad
“Crust” I say (paying no attention at all)
We get to school and it is time to eat lunch I open my lunch box and there it is my Pb and j (just like I asked) with CRUST. That is the day I will never say crust.
